Frequently Asked Questions

What is Veridable?

Veridable is a platform for corporate KYC.

It gives financial institutions, corporates and professional service firms:

  • A collaboration space to work on KYC together (instead of email chains),

  • A reusable KYC ID/profile for each corporate,

  • And an optional managed KYC service for organisations that need KYC but don’t have a dedicated team.

Who is Veridable for?

Veridable is designed for organisations that:

  • Request KYC (banks, PSPs, law firms, corporates onboarding suppliers/customers), and

  • Provide KYC (corporates, platforms, marketplaces dealing with multiple financial and professional counterparties).

Typical users include:

  • Financial institutions (banks, PSPs, EMIs)

  • Corporates (treasury, finance, legal, procurement)

  • Law firms, corporate service providers, advisory firms

  • B2B platforms and marketplaces

Are you a KYC data provider, a workflow tool, or a managed service?

We are primarily a workflow and collaboration platform, with:

  1. KYC Collaboration Space – where information is requested, shared and approved.

  2. Reusable KYC ID – structured, reusable profiles for each corporate.

  3. Managed KYC (optional) – for non-FIs and KYC-light sectors, we can help define standards and run checks using appropriate data sources.

We are not just a raw data provider; we focus on the process and structure of KYC.

What problems does Veridable solve?

At a high level:

  • Replaces KYC email chaos with one shared workspace per relationship

  • Reduces duplicate KYC work by introducing reusable corporate KYC profiles

  • Helps KYC-light organisations run consistent, auditable KYC without building a large compliance function

How does the KYC Collaboration Space work?

Each relationship (e.g. bank–corporate, firm–client, buyer–supplier) gets a workspace where both sides:

  • See the same structured checklist of required information and documents

  • Upload files, answer questions, and leave clarifications

  • Track status, owners and deadlines

  • Have a full audit trail of who did what, when

It turns KYC from scattered email threads into a shared, trackable project.

What is the “Reusable KYC ID”?

The Reusable KYC ID is a structured profile for a corporate, containing:

  • Entity details (registration, addresses, identifiers)

  • Ownership and control

  • Directors and authorised signatories

  • Relevant supporting documents

  • A history of changes and updates

The corporate maintains this profile in Veridable and can reuse it:

  • When responding to KYC requests from banks and professional firms

  • When running KYC on its own suppliers, customers or partners

What is the “Managed KYC” service?

For organisations that need KYC but don’t have a full in-house team, we offer an optional managed KYC layer:

  • We help define a fit-for-purpose KYC standard (what to ask, what to collect, how to risk-rate).

  • Your counterparties submit information through Veridable’s collaboration space.

  • We run appropriate checks (e.g. registry, sanctions/PEP, basic adverse signals) and return a KYC summary and risk recommendation.

You stay in control of final decisions; we handle the structured collection and checks.

Does Veridable replace our existing KYC or CLM systems?

Not necessarily.

Veridable is designed to be the interaction layer where you and your counterparties work together on KYC. It can sit alongside:

  • Existing CLM / onboarding systems

  • Core banking or ERP platforms

  • Document management tools

In early stages, many organisations start by using Veridable for email-free collaboration and reusable profiles, then integrate it more deeply over time.

Can a corporate use Veridable even if their bank is not on it yet?

Yes.

Corporates can:

  • Use Veridable internally as their KYC source of truth, and

  • Share structured exports / reports with banks that are not yet on the platform.

Over time, as more institutions join, the direct integration becomes smoother, but corporates don’t have to wait to get value.

How is data secured?

We take a layered approach to security:

  • Data in transit is protected using TLS (HTTPS) so information is encrypted between your browser and our servers.

  • Data at rest is encrypted using industry-standard encryption on our cloud infrastructure.

  • Access control is enforced via roles and permissions so only authorised users can view or edit sensitive data.

  • Audit logging records key actions such as logins, document uploads, edits, approvals and sharing events.

More detail is available on our Security & Compliance page.

Where is data hosted?

We host Veridable on reputable cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS or equivalent).

We aim to support UK/EU-friendly hosting options and can provide more details on regions and architecture on request.

Who owns the data?

You do.

Your organisation retains ownership of its own data and KYC content. Veridable processes it:

  • To provide the Services

  • To improve security and performance (using aggregated/anonymised data where possible)

  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data.

Are you GDPR-compliant?

We design Veridable with UK/EU data protection principles in mind (GDPR/UK GDPR), including:

  • Lawful basis for processing

  • Data minimisation and purpose limitation

  • Role-based access and auditability

Where necessary, we can enter into Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) with customers to formalise controller/processor roles and obligations.

Do you share data with third parties?

We may use third-party providers for:

  • Cloud hosting

  • Email and communication tools

  • Analytics and monitoring

  • External data sources (e.g. company registries, sanctions lists) where appropriate

These providers act as processors and are required to protect data and only use it as instructed. We may also share data with counterparties you authorise (e.g. banks you invite into a workspace).

We do not sell personal data.

Further details are in our Privacy Policy.
